Between Seignosse and Capbreton, in the south of Landes, the beaches of La Gravière and La Nord are famous for their powerful, tubular waves, making them a hotspot for world surfing (one of the World Surf League spots).

South of Vieux-Boucau and in the immediate vicinity of Hossegor, the beaches of Seignosse are one of the most popular surfing spots on the Atlantic coast, hosting international competitions. Beaches such as Les Estagnots and Le Penon are emblematic.
